GENEVA / GLOBAL — May 10, 2026 — Every 10 minutes, a woman is killed by femicide. While global systems count the victims, they have ignored the 1 million people—children, grandparents, aunties, and siblings—impacted by the aftermath every year.

Today, the LUCY33 Initiative officially launches, introducing a new global category: Femicide Affected People (FAP). This is the world's first analytical framework designed to move beyond the "body count" and provide institutional safeguarding for the families left behind.
